Code: Select all

[Advanced]
ExternalBrowser="path/to/opera.exe -newtab"

That did it! Thank you very much.

GN stopped opening links in external browser

I have no idea what happened, but GN doesn't do anything at all anymore when I click the links. Opening the links inside GN does work, but it's probably faster to copy the link and paste it in Opera. Links from other programs work fine when opening them straight to Opera, which has lead me to believ...

Re: Now that GN is open-source, perhaps a new FF core?

I'm bumping this in hopes that someone knows how to do it and wants to give it a shot.

Re: GreatNews 1.0.387-ktm

I have 66 feeds. I have updated all my feeds repeatedly and can't reproduce the error. Everything else is smooth.

Re: GreatNews 1.0.387-ktm

Immediately after upgrading and updating all my feeds couple of them got a "failed to update channel due to ERROR[5]: database is locked". Those disappeared after I manually updated them.

Re: GreatNews 1.0.386-ktm

Am I the only one who thinks this version seems a little bit faster? Might be the updated SQLite, as its changelog seems to have quite a bit performance enhancements.

Re: images not loading with proxy

I'm sorry to bring back such an old thread, but this bug doesn't seem to be fixed yet. At least I can't see images when using a proxy localhost:8118.
I bumped this so it could be fixed when GreatNews goes open source. (And that'll be like, anyday now! )

Disabling favicons?

Hi,

Is there anyway to disable the favicons? To my eye the feeds list looks messy with all kinds of colourful icons.

If this is not possible I'd like to suggest it.

Thanks.

Re: open source?

Because it's *his* source code perhaps? and who says he's not coding GN anymore? I didn't say he wouldn't. That's why there's an "if" at the start of the sentence. And I understand perfectly that it's his. So was my old tv mine, but I still gave it away because I didn't use it anymore and...

Re: open source?

More than anything. It's incredibly sad to see GreatNews die. It is seriously the best rss reader I have found, and I have tried many. Releasing the source code and letting others develop it could save it and guarantee it would keep up with the latest rss stuff. If Jack is not planning to code GN an...

Remembering toolbar positions

If I move a toolbar to the menubar, right next to the Tools and Help menus, and restart GreatNews, they have been moved back to their original places. Is it possible to add a feature that remembers the positions of the toolbars?

Thanks.
